Tomei has finally released their long awaited 4" full titanium exhaust. They told us about this exhaust a couple years ago and we have been eagerly waiting ever since. It's finally available and we couldn't be happier. We didn't waste any time getting one in our hands and on a car. I ended up throwing one on my car (Clay) immediately.
The first thing I noticed is how beautiful the craftsmanship is. This thing is beautiful. The welds are about as perfect as you could imagine, the radius of the pie bends are gradual and smooth. And everything lined up perfectly in the car. We didn't have any fitment issues with the exhaust touching the car or rattling or vibrating.
We have to import these exhausts from Tomei Japan and we have been ordering as much as they have to keep up with the demand but they sell out as soon as they get here so we are usually perpetually in a state of waiting for the next shipment. (Which at this point seems to be arriving about every 2 weeks, which isn't bad.)
The product shown above is just the catback portion of the exhaust (Which is full 4") , In front of the catback section is a mid pipe, and an adapter. They chose to neck the midpipe diameter down to 3.5" for most of the way all the way up to where it meets the downpipe where it necks down to 3". So they designed the midpipe with a 3" down pipe in mind.
On my car, we had a 4" down pipe from PHR so we didn't want to neck the midpipe down to 3". We ended up not using the 3.5" to 3" mid pipe and just made a custom 4" mid pipe with titanium piping and flange from Ticon.
But if you want to use the 3.5" to 3" Tomei mid pipe, the link for the mid pipe is

Now, if you buy the down pipe and the cat back from tomei, it will come with a mating adapters that neck down to 3" in the middle and mate with a 2 bolt flange. It's not an ideal union for flow, so if you want to get around it, they offer a slip fit adapter that eliminates the bottle neck. the link for the 4" to 3.5" slip fit adapter is

So if you wanted to run it the way Tomei intended (mating to a 3" down pipe) you would need the catback and the mid pipe. And if you want the transition between them to be smoother, you'd need to add the adapter.
If you are like me though, and already have a 4" down pipe, you'll have to make your own 4" mid pipe. I will include the link to the titanium pieces required for the mid pipe fab below.
